VALUE: YOU ARE SPECIAL- DON’T EVER FORGET IT!   A POPULAR SPEAKER STARTED OFF A SEMINAR BY HOLDING UP A 100 RUPEE NOTE. A CROWD OF 200 HAD GATHERED TO HEAR HIM SPEAK. HE SAID, “WHO WOULD LIKE THIS 100 RUPEE NOTE WITH THEM?” 200 HANDS WENT UP. HE SAID, “I AM GOING TO GIVE THIS 100 RUPEE NOTE TO ONE OF YOU BUT FIRST, LET ME DO THIS.” HE CRUMPLED UP THE NOTE. HE THEN ASKED, “WHO STILL WANTS IT?” ALL 200 HANDS WERE STILL RAISED. “WELL,” HE REPLIED, “WHAT IF I DO THIS?” THEN HE DROPPED THE NOTE ON THE GROUND AND STAMPED ON IT WITH HIS SHOES. HE PICKED IT UP AND SHOWED IT TO THE CROWD. THE NOTE WAS ALL CRUMPLED AND DIRTY. “NOW WHO STILL WANTS IT?” ALL THE HANDS STILL WENT UP. “MY FRIENDS, I HAVE JUST SHOWED YOU A VERY IMPORTANT LESSON. NO MATTER WHAT I DID TO THE MONEY, YOU STILL WANTED IT BECAUSE IT DID NOT DECREASE IN VALUE. IT WAS STILL WORTH 100 RUPEES. MANY TIMES IN OUR LIVES, LIFE CRUMPLES UP AND GRINDS US INTO THE DIRT. WE MAKE BAD DECISIONS OR DEAL WITH POOR C

The Obstacle in our Path:

Image
The Obstacle in our Path: - There once was a very wealthy and curious king. And was curious to know who actually runs or works in his kingdom. So once the King had a plan and without anybody’s knowledge places a large rock in the middle of the ongoing road. Then he hid nearby to see if anyone would try to remove the gigantic rock from the road and clear the route. The first people to pass by were some of the king’s wealthiest merchants and courtiers. Rather than moving it, they simply walked around it. A few loudly blamed the King for not maintaining the roads. Not one of them tries to move the rock. Finally, a peasant came along. His arms were full of vegetables. When he got near the Rock, rather than simply walking around it as the others had, the peasant put down his vegetables and tried to move the rock to the side of the road. It took a lot of effort but he finally succeeded. The peasant gathered up his vegetables and was ready to go his way he suddenlyhe noticed a purse

Thinking Out of the Box (Creative Thinking) : Short Motivational Story

Image
Thinking Out of the Box (Creative Thinking) : In a small town, hundreds of years ago, a small business owner owed a large sum of money to a loan-shark. The loan-shark was a very old, unattractive looking guy that just so happened to fancy the business owner’s daughter. He decided to offer the businessman a deal that would completely wipe out the debt he owed him. However, the catch was that we would only wipe out the debt if he could marry the businessman’s daughter.  Needless to say, this proposal was met with a look of disgust. The loan-shark said that he would place two pebbles into a bag, one white and one black. The daughter would then have to reach into the bag and pick out a pebble. If it was black, the debt would be wiped, but the loan-shark would then marry her. If it was white, the debt would also be wiped, but the daughter wouldn’t have to marry the loan-shark. Standing on a pebble-strewn path in the businessman’s garden, the loan-shark bent over and picked up two pebble

Selena Gomez Speech: Trust yourself

Trust yourself “Hi, guys, how are you? So good to see you guys, so you guys having a good night? I have to say that it’s such an honour to be here, it is, I’m so happy to be here, I’m like a nerd and brought my own speech but I hope it’s OK that I take this opportunity to really just spend with you guys and tell you a little bit about my story. I’m not an activist, I haven’t changed the world or led a campaign, I’m here to just tell you my path, so that you hopefully can take something away from it, because I don’t like being honest with — this is a truth — I don’t like being honest with press and interviews, I like being honest with you, directly, which is each and every one of you. Because I feel like I can and I’m just going to start with the basics, so I’m 21 and my mom had, my mom had me when she was 16. And I’m from Grand Prairie, Texas, and she worked four jobs and completely dedicated her life into making mine better. So, to me, she is the definition of a strong woman.

Barack Obama Speech: Ignorance is NOT a Virtue

Image
President Barack Obama delivered the commencement address at Rutgers University in 2016, indirectly criticizing Donald Trump by mentioning some of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee’s policies, including his plans to build a Mexican border wall and ban Muslims from entering the country. Ignorance is NOT a Virtue “Point number one: When you hear someone longing for the “good old days,” take it with a grain of salt. Take it with a grain of salt. We live in a great nation and we are rightly proud of our history. We are beneficiaries of the labor and the grit and the courage of generations who came before. But I guess it’s part of human nature, especially in times of change and uncertainty, to want to look backwards and long for some imaginary past when everything worked, and the economy hummed, and all politicians were wise, and every child was well-mannered, and America pretty much did whatever it wanted around the world. Guess what. It ain’t so. The “good old days” wer

Thank you all for accepting me. Thank you very much. Well, I always start my talk with some disclaimer. And that disclaimer is that I never claimed to be a motivational speaker. Yes, I do speak. But I feel like a storyteller. Because where ever I go I share a story with everyone. I believe in the power of words. Many people speak before they think. But I know the value of words. Words can make you, break you, they can heal your soul, they can damage you forever. So, I always try to use positive words in my life. Wherever I go, they call it adversity, I call it opportunity. They call it a weakness, I call it strength. They call m
